Ally Sheedy
Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy is an American actor. Her birth date was June 13, 1962. Her film debut was with the 1983 film Bad Boys she became known as a member of the Brat Pack actors and starred in WarGames (1983) The Breakfast Club (1985) and Short Circuit (1986). Sheedy was awarded an Independent Spirit Award in 1998 for best female leading role. It was because of her portrayal as Lisa Cholodenko in High Art. Ally Sheedy has been an American author and actress for over twenty years. In the early 80s, she made her debut in film with the crime thriller film Bad Boys. She was well-received for this film. The film which was directed by Rick Rosenthal also starred other famous actors, including Sean Penn Esai Morales Clancy Brown and Alan Ruck. In 1985, following her debut success in a movie she starred as a character in The Breakfast Club - a comedy/drama. The movie was directed by John Hughes is considered one of the best high school films ever made. It was produced for only $1,000,000 but it grossed over $50 million. Additionally, she began participating in various television shows such as CBS Schoolbreak which was her television debut. It was a program specifically for teens that began airing in April of 1980. Chicago Story Big City Samuels and the Kid and Hill Street Blues are other TV shows where she was a part of. Recent appearances include Little Sister, a film that follows a super-hero, with Sheedy as a small cameo. Sheedy won numerous prizes in 2005 for her performances. She also received the by the MTV Movie Award, Silver Bucket of Excellence Award.
