Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now OnestiThe name refers to the Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Gheorghi Romania). She was first person to reach a flawless 10 during an Olympic event. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci at age six. She later became the gymnastics coach of Romania. The first time she competed at the junior national championships in 1969 and finished 13th. She won the competition in 1970. In 1972, at an event for communist-controlled countries' juniors in the lead-up to the Olympics she was awarded 3 gold and silver medals. After that, in 1973 and 1974 she became the overall junior champion. She won against Russian Lyudmila Torishcheva, the five-time European Champion, in her debut senior international event in the year 1975. In this event she was awarded four golds and one silver. She won the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games. She also became the first woman in the history of sport to take off the parallel bars and to use the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career began in entertainment at the age of her teenage years. During this time, she performed as the figure skating duo of the older sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6, 1942, on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her professional career as an entertainer in her teens. She started her career as a figure skater performing with her cousin Nina Wayne as part of the show that was a traveling spectacle that were known as Ice Capades. They featured ice-skating shows that featured theatrical shows.
